Handmade · Spring MMXXVI

Wearable artistry, made by hand.

A small studio of one. Each piece — earrings, necklaces, rings — is shaped, set and finished in the atelier of Wejdan. No two are exactly alike.

— Our story —

A studio that began on a kitchen table.

Quartz is the work of one woman — Wejdan — who began making jewelry as a quiet, private practice. Today the studio releases small editions a few times a year. Every piece carries the rhythm of handwork: tiny imperfections, soft asymmetries, a finish only patience can produce.

Inside the atelier
— The Atelier —

Slow work, made honestly.

Each collection begins with a colour or a shape that won't leave the maker's mind. From there, sketches. From sketches, a sample. From a sample, a piece you can wear.

Nothing is mass-produced. Every piece is finished by hand, signed underneath, and packed in linen. No two are exactly alike — and that is the point.

i.

Source

A colour, a shape, a stone found on a walk. Every piece begins with something seen.

ii.

Sketch

Watercolour studies and back-of-envelope drawings. Most ideas are abandoned here.

iii.

Form

Stones cut, ceramic fired, brass bent over the bench. The slowest part of the process.

iv.

Finish

Polished, signed, wrapped in linen. Numbered and sent — never the same way twice.

There is a kind of quiet to wearing one of Wejdan's pieces — like carrying a small, private painting that only you know the shape of.
